Better Man
I’ve done some things in the past,
that seemed not so right.
I’ve hurt
I’ve lied
I've taken things and people for granted
I’ve broken promises
But that was another part of my life.
A time when I could see no good in most people,
A time when I saw only darkness and deceit around me,
A time that I have let go of.
And then I met you
Who brought light to the world
and my very existence.
And now I seek better things
Sing happier songs
Say Kinder things
I could do no less with you in my life
Because of you I live to be a better man
